Chris is a father of 6 year-old twin girls and a former high school PE/Science/Math teacher, volleyball and basketball coach, and athletic director. He currently works as a teacher/principal at James Hill Elementary in Langley, British Columbia and previous to this, he worked as a teacher/principal in the community of Agassiz at Kent Elementary.

He has successfully worked alongside staff in both schools to create positive changes in school climate as well as student motivation and engagement based on a strengths-based school culture.

He has advised and worked on committees with the BC Ministry of Education, the Canadian Education Association and other agencies to help promote educational change in areas such as school culture, leadership, motivation, parent engagement, professional learning, assessment, and technology.
